My name is Danny Ozment. 10 years ago, the birth of my special needs daughter led to me needing to find a new career that would allow me the flexibility to work from home and control my schedule. I drew upon my experience as a musician (singer and drummer) to learn how to become a recording engineer. I spent the first 7 years in my new business focusing on a cappella. Being a fan of many podcasts, I started my own show and quickly began editing and producing podcasts for other people. Immediately it was clear that my experience recording and producing the human voice for 7 years would benefit podcasters and their listeners.
My mission is GREAT SOUND! I run Emerald City Productions, a production company specializing in podcasts and audio content marketing. I help podcasters create great sounding podcasts, enhance their listener experience, get ahead of schedule, and make a difference in their lives.
By working with me, my clients on average recover 3-4 hours each week to focus on the highest value aspects of their businesses. My ideal clients are established podcasters who are struggling to perfect their sound or are spending 2 or more hours editing per show.
I’m in a unique position to help my clients because I’ve faced the very same do-it-yourself struggle you face. I taught myself how to be a professional recording engineer and then turned that into an award winning production company. During that process I developed a method for capturing the highest quality audio possible that focuses on fundamental recording principles that so many people miss when learning to record by watching video tutorials and reading quick start guides.
